Let’s get one thing clear, when you take out travel insurance, you’re taking out something very important. I would say that it’s not an option. I would say that it is a necessity.
Unfortunately, my voice is usually not heard. Most people usually do not want to hear this. Why? They think that when they’re out traveling and then they were given the opportunity to buy travel insurance, both for themselves and their possessions, that it’s an unnecessary cost.
They think that just because travel insurance costs $1 or $5 extra that they’re basically just buying something that is not worth all that much. In fact, a lot of people are under the impression that this is some sort of money grab.
Well, you might want to reconsider because you get a lot of protection for very little money. That’s the bottom line. Because it may seem like the $5 you’re paying is so trivial and inconsequential that the protection you get is probably not going to be all that good.
But if you know how insurance works, then you should be happy that you’re only paying $5 because the protection you will get, based on your policy, is actually quite substantial. For example, if you are traveling around with all sorts of portable electronic devices, these are covered if you lose them and you can prove that you have lost them.
Now, of course, this is the last resort that you would want. This is the worst case scenario. At the very least, you would get the monetary value, minus depreciation of the device that you lost.
But here’s the problem: you don’t want that to happen. Seriously.
Why? Well, it’s easy to see the value of a phone because of all the business and social contacts it contains. It’s going to be a pain trying to reconstruct all of that.
Can you imagine having to call everybody you know and then the people they know and the people that they know, to get all sorts of contact and telephone number information all over again? It’s kind of annoying. It irritates people. And usually, people don’t have the time to do that.
If that isn’t bad enough, your phone probably contains a lot of pictures that are unique.
For example, if your kid goes to a store or a karaoke and belts out an amazing song, you probably captured that on video. But just like most other consumers, you probably did not backup that video using your phone’s cloud function or online backup function.
So, for practical purposes, you only have one copy of that video. On top of all of this, you have baby pictures, you have reunion pictures, you have surprise visits, that kind of stuff.
Unfortunately, that kind of data, as priceless as it is, can never be recovered if you lose your phone. This is why it’s really important for you to use the power of GPS.
How? Well, you just need to use the following technology offered by Geo-localiser un portable Trouvez un telephone portable avec notre GPS. Using GPS technology, you would be able to find where your phone is.
And you have to move quickly. Seriously. Because your phone is only sending out a GPS signal for a certain period of time.
What dictates that time? Well, it’s your battery life.
Once your battery goes dead, your phone is no longer sending a signal and, for all practical purposes, it has dropped out. It has disappeared. It’s going to be very hard to get a hold of it until, of course, some good Samaritan finds it and turns it in.
Now, this is probably not going to be a problem if your phone costs all of $20 or $50 or even $100. But if your phone costs several hundred dollars, there is a high chance you might be separated from it permanently.
So do yourself a big favor, make sure you tap the power of GPS so as to get a good chance that you would be able to locate your phone again.
